This is the perfect mortar for launching the little 7/8" plastic shells once they are completed. These are easy to put together with a hot glue gun, Elmer's can come apart so it is best to use the hot glue. The way I use these is to punch a fuse hole into the side of the tube as close to the base as I can manage and then put the lift charge directly into the mortar. Next just angle cut the "Tie Fuse" on the shell and drop it fuse down into the mortar and light. Works great as a star testing platform.
