OK Now you have Materials lets make it!

(PICTURES ARE FOR 1" TUBE. YOU MAY FOLLOW DIRECTIONS FOR 2" TUBES ALSO FOR MUCH LARGER EFFECT. ANY OF OUR FLYING FISH FUSE WILL WORK FOR FLYING SERPENTS. TRY DIFFERENT COLORS)

Take your 1" or 2" Paper tube and insert plug or cap or base if you purchased the mine kits. Glue with Elmers or hot glue.1st and 2nd picture just shows 2 different ways you can insert 1" Plug. 1st way will not allow as much room as 2nd picture. You can insert plug like in 1st picture then push all the way to the other side where it is flush as shown in 2nd picture to allow more room if you like. 3rd picture I used a nail to make my hole for the fuse you may also use a 1/8" drill bit if you have one. Make sure the hole is at the very bottom where plug or base rests so it can burn into black powder charge. 4th Picture fuse is inserted at least an 1/2" into Tube. Make sure it is long enough to give you Plenty of time to get at least 100 Ft away. You don't want a serpent to go down your pants! Glue the fuse with hot glue or if it fits snug it will be fine. 5th Picture I am putting about 2.2 cc of 2F black powder into tube after plug is in or base is on and Fuse inserted. (That's about 1/2 teaspoon) You can purchase black powder from most gun shops. If you cannot get black powder we sell Magnesium and Potassium perchlorate mix which will also work. Mix it 70/30 By weight or 50/50 By weight, this can be bought at www.firechemical.com You may also use Pyrodex but you have to use allot (1 1/2Teaspoon) and it does not work near as well. You can experiment on how much to use. It all depends on how high you would like your serpents to go? 6th Picture, Cut your flying fish fuse in about 1" Pieces (Larger if using 2" shell casing) and our kits have precut colored flying fish so no cutting is required. about 30 will do (Use more for 2" shell casing, pack it well). You can go shorter or longer if you like. You just need to make sure you can plug it off when it is packed. This also depends on how you inserted your first plug. 7th Picture, insert all the flying fish pieces long ways into tube directly on top of black powder. 8th picture, This is the finished work. What I usually do is make 5-10 of these and tie them all together where they will go off one after another. You can tie them together with any fuse. These little babies really have an amazing effect. Once it sets off, all the small fuses burst into the air and fly around at amazing speeds leaving a trail behind in all different directions. It is a real show!

Have fun and be careful.
